Rix was a highly acclaimed artist whose works could be found in a number of public places throughout the region, with Bombala residents being most familiar with his impressive depiction of a shearer near the Bombala River bridge (right).

Rix was also a talented writer, and delighted local audiences with recitals of his own poetry on many occasions.

Well loved and respected throughout his own Delegate area, and much, much further throughout the district, Rix lost his long battle with cancer last week and his funeral will take place this Thursday.
