From the Delegate Hospital Auxiliary
WE have had another successful year again with fundraising for the Hospital. With many catering jobs, lunches, Deb Ball and Country Music Muster we have done ourselves proud again this year.
Two of our members, Claire Strickland and Gail Smallman attended State Conference in Sydney in October, and we are both very proud to be awarded the Yvonne Lynch trophy for most money raised by a country auxiliary with 10 members or less.
To say we were surprised was an understatement. We were very honoured to be presented with the shield.
We feel this award is not only for the Auxiliary but it also belongs to the town of Delegate. Without their help and donations we would not be able to raise the money.
We were informed that over the past twelve months the NSW Auxiliaries have worked 1,569,137 hours and have raised $7,662040.88 gross; not bad for only 2113 Auxiliaries state-wide.
This must be a tremendous boost to all hospitals. If anyone wants to see the trophy, it is hanging on the wall at the Hospital for a time, and then it will also be displayed at different businesses around town.
Once again, Delegate, thankyou
Gail Smallman
