WIND Prospect CWP is pleased to announce that construction of the first phase of the Boco Rock Wind Farm is set to commence in the third quarter of 2012.
This final step in the projects development is the culmination of over five year’s work which commenced in 2007.
“Stage one of the project comprises 66 turbines spread over 12 properties and encompasses the two western clusters, which are referred to as the Sherwins and Springfield clusters in the Development Application,” said Ed Mounsey, Wind Prospect CWP’s Head of Development.
“A further seven properties will be spanned by the power line connecting the wind farm to the Essential Energy owned lines at Steeple Flat.”
Details relating to timing of construction activities will be disseminated in due course through the project website, local media and Council.
“The company will issue a Community Information Plan prior to construction commencing and will be keeping the community up to date with developments,” Mr Mounsey said.
In order to maximise benefits to local businesses the ‘contractors’ page of the project website (www.bocorockwindfarm.com.au) is still available for interested parties to register their details.
“I again encourage all those parties that have already made contact with us to re-register their interest through our website to ensure we maintain accurate and up to date records,” Mr Mounsey concluded.
