The inaugural Robert Williams Memorial Shield was also presented on Wednesday night, with Bailey Jones being the recipient.
The Robert Williams Shield rewards one player each year who personifies Rob’s passion for basketball.
Rob led basketball training every Tuesday and Thursday for many years, instilling the fundamentals of the game to school kids, like being an honest and fair player and excelling in defence.
Rob will be sorely missed by the basketball community but will be remembered, and his values carried on through the shield.
