WHETHER they wore big smiles or trembling bottom lips, 34 local children started off their years at “big school” last week and on Monday.
Most of the district’s new Kindergarten students were fairly well prepared for the day thanks to a range of orientation programs run throughout our primary schools, and many were blessed with a short week to get them started.
Now the littlies are on their way to settling in, learning all about the daily routine of our schools in Bombala and Delegate.
And spare a thought for those starting Year 7 too – they have just as big a challenge ahead of them settling into new surroundings and class formats at the Bombala High School.
