20th Annual Talent Quest entertains all

THE stage was alive with song, dance and even a little comedy last Saturday, as Bombala’s Annual Talent Quest again provided hours of entertainment in the RSL Club Auditorium.

Talented performers from all age groups took part, with competitors coming from across NSW and Victoria to get behind the microphone.

With over 80 entries being made, the happy crowd was entertained right through the day and part of the night, with radio presenter, Bill Beerens travelling from Sydney to compere the quest.

Amongst the many highlights of the event were the presentation of the very first Ralph Sims Memorial Trophy, and the donation of a recording session at the Charlesworth Music Studios in Cooma as the prize for the winning singer/songwriter.

The Bombala and District Country Music Association was extremely pleased with the event overall, and offers sincere thanks to all of those involved, especially the performers who took part.

Special mention goes to the hardworking backing band, made up of Alan of Milingandi, Vicky from Young and Ando’s own and Michael Green, as well brilliant sound mixer, Carlos.

The Association also appreciates the support of the Bombala RSL Club in allowing the use of the auditorium.
