Keiren and Scott join Raw Strength

THERE is no doubt that Raw Strength & Fitness Bombala has been embraced wholeheartedly by the community, with high praise being heard for our local gym ever since doors opened in December last year.

In fact, Raw Strength’s Paul and Erin Perkins are very pleased to announce that the gym hit 200 members last week, illustrating just how important the fitness centre has become to the local area.

And the gym has now taken a further step in benefitting the community, enabling two young locals to complete Certificate III in Fitness while they continue their high school studies.

Scott Hepburn, 17, and Keiren Rodwell, 16, kicked off their training for the Certificate this week, and are looking forward to 12 months of learning with Raw Strength & Fitness.

Paul will supervise the pair and take them through the course, which will see both Scott and Keiren hard at work on the gym floor learning all they need to know as qualified fitness instructors.

“I could see how keen they were, so we checked out if they could complete the Certificate as part of their schooling, and we’re really excited to get started this week,” Paul said.

In fact, Scott and Keiren could not hide how eager they were to embark on the course this week, and said they were extremely grateful to have such an awesome opportunity.

If all goes well this year and they wish to further their careers in fitness, Scott and Keiren can also look into becoming personal trainers, which involves another 12 month course.

Meanwhile there is plenty of other action unfolding at Raw Strength & Fitness, with the session timetable being updated to include more classes, and yoga set to start at the end of March.

To find out more, come and grab a timetable from the gym or contact Paul on 0439 451 844.

Raw Strength & Fitness is open from 6am to 8pm weekly, from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and 9am to 12noon on Sundays, with classes to suit everyone, and both group and personal training available.
