LOOKING at the wreckage, it’s hard to believe that anyone could survive this local accident, but the driver not only survived the horrific crash, they managed to leave the scene before police arrived!
Last Thursday morning, May 17 at approximately 6.30am, a 35 year old Bombala man lost control of his vehicle crossing the Parsonage Creek Bridge.
It is believed the car struck the guard rail as it left the bridge heading towards Delegate, and rolled several times before coming to rest on the bank.
When Bombala Police arrived on the scene shortly after, the driver was nowhere to be seen, and arrangements were made for a search, with concerns over his physical wellbeing.
He was later located by Police in Bombala and was eventually treated at the local hospital for minor injuries.
Police could reveal few details at the time of printing, but said investigations into the accident are ongoing.
