John Heron of Wauchope in northern NSW was trifling through his uncle’s photograph folder when he stumbled upon a number of postcards from Bombala.
Mr Heron was doing some research to put together a family tree when he discovered the collection.
He said that his uncle was Frank (Francis) Callaughan of Bombala, and that Frank’s father had was Charles Callaughan of Bombala.
Ms Heron said that his grandmother was Florence Starr, orginally of Bendoc, Victoria.
He contacted the Bombala Times in the interest of sharing the images with the community and hoped that locals might have some images of their own to share.
