Local airport hive of activity

THE Bombala Airport has been particularly busy since the Tasco redevelopment began, with aircraft to be seen utilising the airfield on a regular basis.

Two examples are the Pilatus PC9, which is a Swiss manufactured aircraft used by Zauner Constructions, and a Super King Air, which is an American aircraft owner by Seidler Aviation.

The King Air operates a weekly service into the Bombala Airport for Tasco personnel, while the Pilatus lands as required for Zauner Constructions which is the construction contractor for the mill site expansion.

The King Air is a charter aircraft also operating personalised tours over much of Australia.

Both aircraft carry around eight passengers, and both are well suited for landing on short airfields such as Bombala’s.
