LOCAL residents are being advised to be more vigilant about locking their homes and cars after an increase in thefts throughout the township.
Although we were unable to get an official report from Police in time for our deadlines, many locals would have already heard about many of the robberies through word of mouth.
It is being said that personal belongings, including cash, handbags and even laptop computers have been removed from unlocked cars and homes throughout different areas of town.
Police have been advised, and it is hoped that the offenders are caught and dealt with accordingly.
Many of us tend to be complacent given the “safe” country town we live in, but the recent spate of thefts is a warning that we need to get smart and lock up when leaving houses and cars unattended.
Shame on the lowlifes that have made it this way!
