Australia's Tim Cahill has scored the fastest goal in Major League Soccer history, finding the net for the New York Red Bulls after just eight seconds.
Cahill latched on to a long through ball from teammate Dax McCarty after the kick-off to slam the ball home with a right-foot strike against the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.
New York went on to win the game 3-0 with goals from Ibrahim Sekagya and Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Cahill's goal is not the fastest scored by an Australian in top-flight football - that honour is held by Damian Mori.
Mori, playing for Adelaide United, scored after just 3.69 seconds against Sydney United in 1996 in the National Soccer League.
