The Super Rugby union team, who are based in Canberra and represent the ACT and southern NSW, took time out from their busy schedule under the spotlight to visit the small school.
The school was visited by three players who wowed the young audience.
Half-back Nicholas White along with Ruan Smith and Allan Alaalatoa opened the floor to questions from their young fans.
The lively students from Bombala Public School did not disappoint asking some challenging questions to the elite sportsmen,
Among them were: “What was your first job”, “What is your favourite food”, “What injuries have you sustained while playing footy” and “Which famous woman would you marry”?
Teacher Maree Ingram said the experience was a wonderful opportunity for the students.
“The players, students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to have a chat,” Ms Ingram said.
“We wish the Brumbies well this year and look forward to another visit.”
The aim of the country tour – which also saw players from the Brumbies visit Jindabyne, Cooma, Cootamundra, Yass and Goulburn – was to introduce more juniors to the game of rugby.
