ST Joseph’s School students have had a special visit from Bombala’s police officers Constable Nathan Marks and Constable Steven Gay.

The students were taken through a power point presentation looking at both good and bad behaviours and were given real life scenarios to work out.
They also discussed the importance of our police officers and ways they help keep us safe.
Acting principal Phil Stubbs said the students were then shown what a police officer wears everyday as part of their uniform.
“They were amazed at how many items an officer must carry,” Mr Stubbs said.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions, try on handcuffs as well as the
bullet-proof vest which was extremely heavy.
They also had a look through the police vehicle.
“The staff and students would like to thank the officers for taking the time to visit the school and teach our students about personal and community safety,” Mr Stubbs said.
