The results of the survey will drive the development of the next integrated community strategic plan, which will presented to council at the May meeting.
The plan will then go out for public comment and is brought back to the June council meeting for adoption.
The survey will provide the community with the opportunity to express their opinion on the services council delivers to the community, issues and areas the community would like council to focus on and the community’s views on issues like rate increases and amalgamations.
“We are very interested in finding out what our residents and ratepayers think on a number of services and issues,” Bombala Mayor Cr Bob Stewart said.
“This consultation drives council’s preparation of the integrated community strategic plan and our future direction.
“I urge all residents and ratepayers to complete the survey and return it to council in the prepaid envelope provided” he said.
As part of council’s ongoing commitment to improving communications with the community, plans are being finalised for a council stand at the Bombala Show.
This stand will be manned by councillors and give community members the opportunity to discuss ideas and issues with their representatives on council.
