Jade commenced the retail baking SBAT with Bombala Bakery on February 26.
She will gain valuable on the job training at least one day a week as well as completing the theoretical components of the course also on the job.
Jade will continue her study at school for her HSC as well as working towards completing the nationally accredited Certificate.
She hopes to continue her traineeship full time after the HSC exams.
The school has thanked Bombala Bakery for supporting Jade.
Relieving principal Glen Warren said he was sure it would be a positive experience for everyone involved.
“We cannot underestimate the value of these SBATs for interested students and recognise that without employer support they are not possible,” Mr Warren said.
