With a hugely successful swimming season now behind them, Bombala Swimming Club committee member and coach Rhonda Stewart said the day was a “big, fun-filled splash”.
“We had over 50 swimmers involved this swim season and they all improved significantly,” she said.
“I’d like to thank the kids who came along every week and those involved behind the scenes who helped to make this our most successful season yet.
“I look forward to seeing the committee members and coaches around the pool again, when we start the next swimming season this November.”
Ms Stewart said for those who want to get involved in the next swimming season, to keep an eye out for the flyers closer to November.
“We can always have more people on the committee and to coach, as well as kids,” she said.
“I think the positive attitudes of everyone this year and the weather we’ve experienced has been helpful to make this season a success.
“We have a very short swimming season but I think that’s why the locals get so excited about it when it’s here.
“Everyone really seems to enjoy themselves when they are at the pool on Monday evenings.”
