The 17-year team were without key personnel for the weekend and faced a tough challenge with five strong opponents from within the region.
A first up win against Barellan, was followed by losses to Queanbeyan and Eurobodalla on day one.
Day two started with an extremely physical loss to Southern Highlands by three goals and then a far more experienced Ulladulla team.
The weekend ended for the 17s with another win over Barellan.
Meanwhile, our experienced opens team arrived in Canberra confident of winning the state league for the second consecutive year.
They were to prove far too strong for their opponents in the opening rounds, going through undefeated.
They faced a spirited opposition in Queanbeyan in the grand final but a showed the great depth of talent in the team, winning convincingly 57- 20.
Both teams move on to further carnivals in Wagga, in preparation for the state championships on the June long weekend in Sydney .
