Dance students took to the stage with performances in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop and contemporary.
Veronika Hartmeier, a senior student of Monaro Dance Centre, welcomed the audience and presented a short history of fundraising activities undertaken by MDC in Bombala.
Veronika then went on to thank the community for their ongoing support for the Fandango as a fundraiser for the Southern Monaro Community Fund.
The students wowed the audience with performances such as Take Me Away by the senior jazz students, and a Justice Crew remix by the hip hop students.
Both the audience and students were kept entertained with DJ Matt Brown spinning up some great tunes and bringing everyone for a boogey on the dance floor after the concert was over.
This was Matt’s 13th year as the disco king, supporting the Fandango and the community of Bombala.
Although expenses are yet to be finalised, it is anticipated that the event raised approximately $450 for the community fund.
This will bring the total of donations to the Community Fund by local Monaro Dance Centre students to over $10,000 since 2003.
Monaro Dance Centre would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Fandango and contributed to its success.
The dance students and parents are to be commended for their commitment to preparations for the event which has become a showcase of local talent and great family entertainment as well as a successful fundraiser.
Many thanks must go to the Bombala RSL Club and the Bombala Times for their generous assistance and support for the Fandango.
