THE Pink and Yellow Prostate Cancer Fundraiser at the Globe Hotel on Saturday night has been hailed a great success with the Bombala Bluetongues Rugby Union Club members raising $1501.50 through selling tickets to the six raffles and pink and yellow bandanas.
The money has been donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
Winner of the hamper was Jamie Robinson while Des Peisley won the monster meat tray.
There was great response from patrons willingly donating to the cause.
The night was also a last hoorah for Globe Hotel publican Kincaid ‘KC’ Lunn, before Travis and Alecia Jones take over management of the pub.
The club would like to thank the following businesses for their great support of the fundraiser, especially the Globe Hotel for hosting the event, donating the bandanas and supplying the band ‘Just on Keys’ for the evening, and Alecia Jones for co-ordinating the evening and business donations.
The business houses who kindly donated their goods and services included James from Farmgate Gourmet Meats who donated the monster meat raffle which was extremely popular on the night.
Other businesses who donated to the massive hamper were Foodworks, Hair on Main, Bombala RSL, Bombala Cycles and Chainsaws, Cosmo’s Cafe, Bombala Newagency, Bombala Pharmacy, Bi-Rite Electrical, IGA, Bombala Bakery, Final Touches, Lou-Lou’s, Bombala Fabrics, Champion’s Shoe Store and Louise and Bill from the Bombala Post Office.
