Around 70 people attended from as far away as Tombong, Nowa Nowa, Orbost, Buchan and Ballarat.
“We thanked the Delegate community for their hospitality during the fires by enjoying ourselves. Perhaps after a tough year it was the locals that really needed the night out,” Deb Foskey of Tubbut Neighbourhood House said.
Post-fire there are some wonderful wildflowers blooming in the bush and they made gorgeous decorations for the evening. Thanks to Sue Collins and Helen Sheil for collecting and arranging them.
Frock n Troll were in great form and some locals got right into the dancing, finding that dancing does indeed get the good pheromones working.
Food was catered by Snowy River Historical Bakery in Orbost who prepared, delivered and served the meal, and cleaned up afterwards.
“After so many meetings where locals have provided refreshments, this was a welcome relief,” Deb said.
“After a musical drought, not to mention a fire, the Regeneration Bushdance struck the right note.”
