Some of our businesses jumped on board with race decorations and even a few fascinators, and there was definitely an air of fun about the Tuesday.
Our local schools were particularly enthusiastic about Cup Day this year, with most staff and many students dressing up, and the Bombala Public School even utilising the mufti day to raise funds for new board games.
The Bombala RSL Club made the most of the occasion again, with a Calcutta and sweepstakes leading up to November 4, and many rolling up for Fashions of the Field, lunch and a view of the big screen on the day.
In Delegate it was the Country Club that was inundated, with locals and visitors alike enjoying a delicious luncheon as well as a Cup Quiz, sweepstakes, and s fashion parade of lovely vintage garments from the Anglican Op Shop.
