INFORMATION is being sought from the community regarding a car that sped through the streets of Bombala last Saturday morning to evade Police.

At about 12.15am, Saturday, January 2015, Police were conducting patrols of the Bombala CBD and residential area. While driving along the Monaro Highway near the intersection of Queen Street, police sighted a red sedan travelling south.
Police turned and followed the vehicle intending to stop it to breath test the driver. The vehicle accelerated and sped off. Police followed for a short distance in the central business district of the town, before the vehicle was driven to Caveat Street. Police activated their warning devices, and the vehicle accelerated away.
The offending vehicle made no attempt to slow down for the well posted give way sign. The offending vehicle drove up Caveat Street, where at the intersection of Caveat and Wellington the vehicle turned right and travelled south up Wellington.
The vehicle was last seen being driven up Wellington Street. Police did not attempt to pursue the vehicle any further.
The vehicle is described as a red four door sedan, possibly a Honda or Holden, the offending vehicle appeared to speed up travelling at an estimated speed of 100km/h in the built up area.
