The work was completed on behalf of the Roads and Maritime Service to protect the surface and lengthen the life of the road.

Although several businesses aired concerns that the work would extend over the week and disrupt business, the reseal was completed before 12noon as scheduled.   

The white lines, including those used to mark parking spaces, are scheduled to be repainted in the very near future.
