During the last five years Glenn has been supported by WorkAbility, a service of The Disability Trust to volunteer at several businesses in both Delegate and Bombala as well as the Bombala High School.
These businesses include Landmark Delegate, Monaro Native Tree Nursery and Murphy’s Transport and Building Supplies.
Glenn has been able to learn new skills as well as extend on existing skills due to the support he receives from WorkAbility, but most importantly because of the long term commitment from the businesses and the opportunities they have given him.
His duties have included yard maintenance, cleaning, customer service, and he has his own garden at the nursery that he looks after and maintains.
Glenn likes to keep busy, being with people and being able to help and assist them. These businesses are ensuring that Glenn is productive and contributing to his community in a way that is meaningful to him.
