On Monday, May 11 Nathan and I received three separate reports in relation to this fraud matter. These people claim to be from the AFP (Australian Federal Police) and state that an infringement notice needs to be paid.
Nathan and I warn all members of the community not to pay any of these infringements or supply any personal details, as this is a scam. If people are unsure of the validity of the information please contact Nathan and I, and we can confirm whether or not the infringement is real or not (hopefully not).
Also on another matter Nathan and I have received several complaints in relation to dogs roaming the streets and being unrestrained. Please keep your pets retrained as it does become a safety matter in relation to dog attacks on people and livestock.
Incidents can be reported through Police Assistance Line on 131444 or for Emergencies please contact 000.
Regards
Constable Steven Gay
