Thanks to a government grant announced earlier in the year, the group have been able to purchase new walls for the meat wagon at the station, and these were painted on Sunday.
The walls have been painted white and will feature black lettering reading ‘Friends of the Bombala Railway’.
Work will also soon begin on refurbishing the roof of the wagon, which is just one piece of three rolling stock located at the station ready for revamp and display.
Meanwhile a couple of members of the group also repaired hail damage to the picnic tables in the railway on Sunday, and freshened these up with a new coat of paint.
