According to data from Fairfax Media's Weatherzone website, the maximum temperature in Bombala on Thursday, July 2, was 2.9°C, while Friday's temperature reached a top of 4.9°C at 11am, after an overnight low of 0.7°C.
Rainfall of 3.8mm (with a 99 per cent relative humidity) was recorded on Thursday, which at one point briefly fell as snow.
Some residents had their camera ready to capture this wintry display and posted photographs on our Facebook page to share with readers.
For the remainder of the week the forecast is for fog then sunny conditions up until Friday, with some showers expected over the weekend.
The mornings will be very crisp with severe to high frost risk as overnight temperatures drop below zero.
