A Far South Coast police officer said the woman was driving south in a Suzuki Swift when the crash occurred at about 9.10am, 500 metres north of the Afflick’s Abattoir.
The officer said the P-plater had intended to overtake another south-bound vehicle and had slowed and looked behind her.
However, traffic ahead slowed and she collided with the rear of the truck, driven by a Narooma man.
Airbags were deployed in her vehicle and she was transported to Moruya Hospital in a stable condition.
