The seats around the showground were in a very poor condition, and as they were becoming a danger to users, were in serious need of replacement.
This would be a significant project, however, and the Exhibition Ground Management Committee set about considering their options for financing the replacement.
Dongwha Timbers kindly came to the fore and donated timber for 26 seats and six portable five-tier seats, replacing all of the old seating from next to the grand stand right around to the changerooms.
This generosity will provide new seating for several hundred people at the Exhibition Ground, with those seats that were the most deteriorated having already been replaced. Work will commence on the remaining seats when the season improves.
Naturally the Management Committee has been very appreciative of such a generous donation, and pointed out that Dongwha Timbers has always been a solid supporter of the Exhibition Ground and its events.
