A BRAVE group of seven students from Bombala Public and St Joseph’s Schools presented their speeches to a very interested audience of parents, teachers, families and Rotarians last Thursday, August 13 in the annual Principals’ Public Speaking Competition.

As Master of Ceremony, Stewart Lee called on the students at random to present their speeches.
Jamie Farrell started off with her talk about the “A.N.Z.A.Cs”, David Cotterill entertained us with his presentation of “Jokes”, Amber Butterworth talked about the “Benefits of Horse Riding”, Dakota Miles about her ”Twin Brothers”, Portia Giles about “Cats and Dogs”, Hannah Feilen about “ Protecting Sharks” and Aleasha Warhlich about her own condition of “Oculocutaneous”.
Hannah Feilen was the winning competitor and Aleasha Warhlich was awarded the Encouragement Award.
Rotarians Glen Warren, Jim Longden and Grantley Ingram were the Adjudicators for the evening with Fiona Crawford as timekeeper.
Carol Sellers from Delegate PS and Jo Tozer from Bombala PS adjudicated on the Encouragement Award, and Rotary President, Jak Cuttle presented both awards.
A delicious supper was served by Bombala High School, and an interesting and enjoyable night was shared once again.
