The excited pair, who will be offering the community quality hairdressing and beauty therapy services, shared their thoughts on the event and their new business with us -

Aleisha - “I was so unbelievably excited and nervous when I noticed people lining up in front of the salon at 2pm. We cut the ribbon and almost instantly the salon was packed it was amazing .I can't believe the amount of praise and support the salon received from the local community it was astonishing .

“At first I was freelancing and met a lot of amazing clients and decided moving around was taking up too much time where I could have been doing more clients hair. As the demand grew for me to do hair and makeup so did my passion to open a salon, which has led me to today .

“Along the way a mutual friend told me about Krissee being a beauty therapist and I offered her a section of the salon for her beauty therapy business and from there I have made not only someone to work alongside but someone I can call a friend .

“I can officially say I am the proud owner of a brand new business with many exciting things to come in the future .

“I never dreamt the salon would turn out the way it has. My only obstacle was the name , the name had to be elegant yet simple. I had a massive list but finally came across my favorite, ‘Lush Boutique’ and the more it's used the more I love it. I'm so overjoyed with everything about the salon from how the salon looks and feels down to the products that are stocked.

“There are so many people I need to thank for getting me here, Jim White for renovating the salon and over watching everything and everyone; the plumber Rob Kilby; plasterer Gary Allen; John Ratcliffe and Jake Heffernan for electrical work; and the painter, Graham Enright.

“But most of all I'd like to thank my family for all of their amazing support. My father, Keith Holster has been my rock throughout this entire journey, always doing whatever he could to ensure everything was perfect for me. My mum, Lynda Holster has been amazing with all the creative ideas and a constant inspiration source. My sister, Kellie Holster and Tony Douch for their constant help getting the job done.

“I will be performing a range of hair services from coloring, cutting , foiling , up styling , extensions, blowdrying and styling in general .

“Lush Boutique will be using top of the range brands such as Delorenzo and Eleven which are both Australian made brands. I will be stocking cloud9 styling tools such as straighteners and wands.

“I will be doing makeup applications and consultations. Eventually I will be making time for a group session on the basics of makeup application.

“Youngblood mineral cosmetics will be available for purchase and I will use the products during makeup applications on clients.

“I look forward to meeting new clients in the future and make them feel beautiful with new hairstyles and makeup. I am so excited about the journey to come and can not wait to share my salon with everyone.”

Kristen - “I was curious about the newspaper up on the windows as I drove through Bombala one day when I asked a friend what was happening in that shop. That friend turned out to be a mutual friend of mine and Aleisha’s. Next thing I knew Aleisha was calling me and asking if I'd be interested in opening my own beauty therapy salon inside of her hairdressing salon, ‘Lush Boutique’.

“I had been looking into the local businesses in regards to beauty and noticed that there wasn't a permanent beauty therapist. We sat down over a cuppa and we had an agreement, ‘Lush Boutique’ now had me and my business as a permanent beauty therapist joining the salon.

“It's not often that you meet someone who is as pedantic about quality as you are so I knew we would work well together .

“I am stocking dermaviduals which is a very exclusive range that specifically treats problematic skin instead of masking a problem like a lot of other brands do. Skincare is my passion and if you have a concern about your skin feel free to book in for a skin consultation.

“I also perform massages, facials, spray tanning, waxing, manicures, pedicures and facial hair tinting .

“I was overwhelmed when Aleisha told me how many people were waiting for us. But we are in it together; we are each other’s rocks.

“I can not wait for the salon to be full of clients and be vivacious and have such a great atmosphere like it did on Saturday. I am sure that ‘Lush Boutique’ is going to be full of life.  

“I am looking forward to working with all of my future clients . It was such a pleasure to finally put faces to names and meet clients.”
