It has been identified that drivers are not adhering to the speed limits in town and on the highway.
Highway Patrol officers have voiced concern and will be targeting offending drivers.
Action will be taken with this being a warning to prevent a tragedy on our roads.
Speed limits are enforced state wide and are there for our safety.
In other news, Police Remembrance Day was a great day and I would like to personally thank the entire community for supporting your local Police and acknowledging those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect all of us.
Steve and I were fortunate enough to have Superintendent Rodney Smith from Queanbeyan attend along with police from other stations.
I would like to also thank Bombala Foodworks for providing the supplies for the event and the Bombala Lions Club for cooking the barbecue.
Bombala Lions Club provide so much for this community and we are very grateful.
If there is anything to be reported, you can contact the Police Assistance Line on 13 14 44 or the Bombala Police Station on 6458 3444.

In other news from the Monaro Local Area Command, on September 17, Queanbeyan Police together with staff from the Queanbeyan City Council fitted free anti-theft number plate screws to approximately 120 vehicles.
This is a joint initiative between Police and the local council aimed at reducing the number of number plates being stolen from vehicles in the Queanbeyan area.
The one way screws make it more difficult for someone to remove the plates.
Due to the popularity of this initiative, Queanbeyan Police are planning to hold a similar day fitting these screws later this year in the Jerrabomberra area.
