Ms Douch during her time at Bombala High School has undertaken many roles as a lab technician and food technology officer providing support to students and staff.
At a special morning tea held on her behalf the staff at Bombala High School gathered to acknowledge her 38 years of service and wish Ms Douch all the best in her retirement and present her with a gift.
Ms Douch said that she had loved working at Bombala High School over the years.
“It has been a fantastic school to work with and the students are fantastic.
“Bombala is a great little community where work colleagues become friends over the years.
The Director of Public Schools NSW, Matthew Brown was there to present Ms Douch with a Certificate of Service and Retirement Medal.
“We would like to thank Dawn for all that she has done for the school and to wish her all the best in her future endeavours, which I am sure will involve many a well-earned day on the golf course,” relieving principal Glen Warren said.
And what does Ms Douch plan to do in her retirement?
“I’ve just built a new house and I’m busy tidying up and getting the garden prepared.
“I also love to go fishing and play golf and I am planning a trip to Canada with friends,” Ms Douch said.
