The academy is calling for nominations from talented young athletes competing in the sports of Cycling, Golf, Hockey, and Lawn Bowls. SERAS is also seeking nominations for its Individual Athlete Program from athletes from sports that the academy will not operate programs for in 2016. SERAS will have two more intakes during 2016 for the sports of Junior Bull Riding, Snowsports, Squash, and Touch Football with the academy looking to offer two to three new programs.
The programs run by SERAS generally offer an online induction process, physiological testing of athletes, strength and conditioning programs, an education component, skill development, and specialist coaching. Most programs are delivered during weekend training camps and run for approximately 6 months. Information regarding each scholarship program can be found on the SERAS website.
Nominations can be made online (www.seras.org.au) and close on Friday, October 23.
