SPRING has certainly sprung in Delegate, with the community coming together to celebrate the season with ‘The Magic of Spring’ on Saturday.
A crowd of around 60 people gathered in the Bill Jeffreys Park for some spring time fun, with a cheerful array of activities from tai chi to face painting and community gardening all unfolding.
There was also an eye catching pink breast cancer awareness display on show, while creative activities had the kids making hats and pinwheels, as well as decorating cupcakes.
Throw in some sack races, a wire sculpting workshop and of course some cob oven cooking, and you have a very happy day that was only made all the more magical thanks to the fairy and wizard costumes the children had donned.
The Magic of Spring will now become an annual event in Delegate thanks to the Platypus Pals, who greatly appreciate support received through the Bombala Council’s Preventative Health Program and the Monaro Rural Health Service.
