Last night supermarket giants Coles and Woolworths were forced to issue a recall on their pre-packaged lettuce products.

Since then if has also been revealed that special diet provider Lite n’ Easy uses the same Victorian company and that the lettuce recall would affect some lunches in its menu delivered this week.
Some 7/eleven stores have also recalled some of their prepackaged sandwiches.
Bombala supermarkets Foodworks and IGA say they are unaffected by the recall.
A spokesperson from Bombala Foodworks said that they didn’t carry pre-packed lettuce and Bombala IGA said that all their pre-packaged lettuce came from Sydney.
Victorian company Tripod Farmers is linked with a salmonella outbreak that has so far infected 28 people, including at least one child.
