John Vincent and David Turnbull helped out at Saturday’s working bee.
THE Bombala Lions Club met with a small group of volunteers to begin erecting a security fence at the Apex Park on Saturday.
The working bee saw the group digging, mixing cement and putting in posts for the fence, which will screen the barbecue and playground area off from the river.
This was a request from local parents concerned for the safety of young children who may run down from the park to the water, and the Lions Club sought Council approval for the job.
The group managed to get eleven panels erected, but still have two sides to go and gates to put up, with those who would like to help out being encouraged to stay tuned for further working bee dates.
