A SECOND youth, charged with throwing objects at cars on the Shoalhaven River bridge on August 15 last year, has been sentenced.

The 14-year-old from West Nowra appeared in Port Kembla Children’s Court on Monday facing three charges of intentionally throw object at vehicle/vessel risk safety, three counts of maliciously destroy/damage property and having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
Magistrate David Williams placed the youth on a 12-month good behaviour bond and ordered he be under the supervision of juvenile justice for as long as is deemed necessary.
The court heard the youth was part of a group which had thrown a number of items which struck three vehicles, a Honda CRV, Holden Commodore and a Toyota Prado, crossing the southbound bridge between 9.30am and 9.45am on Saturday, August 15.
Last month Magistrate Williams placed a 15-year-old Nowra youth on 12-months’ probation for the same offence.
The youth pleaded guilty in Nowra Children’s Court to to intentionally throw object at vehicle/vessel risk safety, maliciously destroy/damage property and having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
