Under the guidance of Chief Inspector Steve Johnson officers baked cakes, scones, slices and made savory dishes in a cooking competition as part of the morning tea activities.
Chief judges were South Coast Register editor John Hanscombe and journalist Robert Crawford who were treated to a wide variety of scrumptious delights.
“We just saw it as a way of having some fun within the station for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and include a bit of rivalry between the various departments,” Chief Inspector Johnson said.
“I know some of the cooks slaved late into the evening to create some of their dishes.”
There is talk there may even be a Shoalhaven LAC Master Chef competition later in the year.
