Among the recipients were Sandra O’Hagan of Delegate; Penelope Judge of Craigie; Lucy Culliton of Bibbenluke; Daryl Phillips and Sergie Shatrov of Bombala; and the Delegate Progress Association.

“Today we recognise individuals who quietly make a difference in our community,” he said.
Sandra O’Hagan was awarded “for her incredible dedication over the last five years to researching the stories of WW1 veterans from the Snowy Mountains, in turn ensuring that those who fought for our freedom will never be forgotten”.
“I do the work because I love to honour the men and getting the award was an honour,” Mrs O’Hagan said.
Penelope Judge received her award “for service to the Delegate community, largely her role in forming, training and leading the Snowy Mob children’s choir as part of the Anzac Centenary and Men from Snowy River March commemorations.
An Outstanding Community Organisation Award was presented to the Delegate Progress Association for its work to organise the Men From Snowy River March re-enactment in commemoration of the 100 years since the start of march.
“This small community group had big plans to commemorate and honour their local war veterans and that they did,” Mr Barilaro said .
Lucy Culliton received her award for ‘service to the arts and her commitment to raising awareness and funds for the Monaro Education Foundation through her artistic contributions.
Daryl Phillips was awarded for 15 years service with the SES and Sergei Shatrov “for his commitment to pastoral care and his advocacy for a range of environmental issues affecting his community”.
