The big event was a first for many of Bombala Public School competitors but as each athlete lined up for their events, nerves were forgotten and thanks to the vocal cheering and support from the Bombala school crowd everyone gave their very best effort.
Bombala was represented in all events and all the students must be congratulated for making it to this level of athletics competition.
Particular mention goes to Zali Lavender – First Senior Girls Shot Put and Discus.
Jessica Vincent – First Senior Girls High Jump.
Jake Miles – First 11 Year Boys Discus
Nicholas Camm-O’Hehir – third 11 Year Boys Discus.
Emilie Vincent – second Junior Girls High Jump.
Natalie Vincent – third 8 Year Girls 100m.
Jack Stevenson- third Senior Boys Discus.
Senior Boys Relay – third (Jack Stevenson, Colby Brownlie, Toby Incher –Jones and Brett Ashton).
Well wishes go to all the students that have qualified for the next level of competition at Bruce Stadium, Canberra in Septembe. Thank you to the parents who transported and supported the students on the day and helped set up and pack up the school area.
The school is very proud of the admirable way the Bombala students competed and conducted themselves on the day.
