Joseph and Jones Racing stable had six horses running in four races and recorded two wins with Archie’s Flat in Race 2 and Rock On Zariz in Race 3.
It was a special day for Archie’s Flat recording his first win after just two starts.
In other news from Joseph Jones Racing stable Just A Blur was racing in the Dane Ripper Stakes at Eagle Farm, Brisbane on the weekend.
Unfortunately Just a Blur jumped well but got trapped in the middle of the field and couldn’t get a clear run.
Bombala Golf
Again the ladies have missed out on golf. With the course extremely wet and too dangerous to use carts the Foursomes Championships were postponed, as yet a date has not been decided.
The men on Saturday started out but with the change in the weather they called it a day and headed to the clubhouse for an afternoon of pool.
Sunday the men were lucky to get a good day and played a Stroke for Ray Crawford’s Trophy.
Colin Gronow had a good round winning with 67 nett.
Col winning the first ball and Ray Crawford won the second ball with 70 nett.
Match Play: Herbie Elliott defeated Ray Fermor 3/1.

Tuesday, June 7 Ladies Competition Bowls - D Dent, J Cotterill and C Kane defeated G Hurley, S Dent and E Elliott 12-7. Wednesday, June 8 - Mixed Social, A Dent, C Baker and Phil Kane defeated K Callaway, Chris X and R Dent 25-16. G Griggs and M Guthrie defeated B Beileiter and Pat Kane 28-13.
Bowlers playing in the Major/Minor Championship pairs are to play the first round of this event on or before June 18 at 9.30 am with round 2 to be played in the afternoon. Jack
