It seems extraterrestrial that the Barbados singer-songwriter has teamed up with such a nerdy bunch of klingons.
But the teaser release of her single, titled Sledgehammer, already sounds out of this world.
Rihanna circulated the 20 second long single on social media, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
There have been mixed responses online, but with limited audio, it's hard to determine where RiRi will go next.

Rihanna's voice throughout this song resonates a sense of uncertainty but is firm with the lyrics "You're just another break / And I'm a sledgehammer", written by the controversial hair-sweeped Sia.
At least Paramount Pictures decided on Rihanna to be the ultimate songstress rather than Will Ferrell, who gave a grave attempt of vocalising the theme song on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
Since 1966, the Star Trek series has embarked on a sci-fi phenomenon spanning generations.
The latest instalment follows the crew as they are stranded on an unknown planet after being attacked by aliens.
Not forgetting the iconic characters from the original series of Spock (Leonard Nimoy), James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and Hikaru Sulu (George Takei), Beyond delivers a fresh set of new faces to play these legends.
Co-writer Simon Pegg said the film aims to appeal to old fans and a new audience.
Sledgehammer awaits it's full debut on iTunes and Star Trek: Beyond will be released in cinemas on July 21st.
