Four teams with players from Merimbula, Bega and Bombala, made the trek to Wollongong to play against teams from all over the state.
Over three days each team played around 20 games to find out who would become the next State Champions.
While none of the teams came out of top, the under 15s played spectacularly throughout the tournament to finish in fifth place with 13 wins, four losses and one draw.
The team’s coach, Tyjana Thelan, said she couldn’t be prouder of her girls.
“We had a very up and down season, so I'm extremely proud that the girls pulled together as a team,” Thelan said.
“They played like champions. They showed real fight and class against some really tough and slick teams.”
Thelan said her team’s defensive pressure was outstanding with key defender Kimmy De Jong as a stand out, keeping the team in games they could have lost.
“As a coach it's fantastic to see the girls putting what you've coached them to do into practice on the court and they did it consistently,” Thelan said.
The other teams also played well with the under 12s coming 17th with five wins and 16 losses; the under 13s came in 12th with nine wins, 11 losses and two draws; and the under 14s finished 18th with four wins and 16 losses.
