Volunteers included two councillors, council workers, members of our service clubs and interested individuals, with the park and riverbanks being the focus.
Many of the listed jobs were carried out, including weeding and pruning of garden beds, burning of flood debris, replacement of ansylite sheeting in the pavilion, brush cutting and the preparation of benches and picnic tables for application of a finish.
Participants enjoyed a barbeque lunch provided by the Lions Club, with Landcare contributing $200 towards refreshments for the day.
The Lions and Rotary Club wish to thank those who took part in the working bee, with a tremendous amount of work being completed throughout the rewarding day.
The council will remove all prunings and remaining debris this week.
