The local Director Public Schools NSW, Matthew Brown, who will be the special guest, said the meeting is open to the entire schools communities.
Mr Brown said he is looking forward to talking with parents, students and members of the school community in this conversation.
At the meeting you will be encouraged to give advice, make comments and ask questions.
Bombala High School Acting Principal Andy Winfield said both his school and Bombala Public School are proud of the high quality public education service that they provide to the wider Bombala community.
“We are confident that one of our strengths is to listen to our school community,” Mr Winfield said.
“This meeting is to consider the thoughts of parents, students and others about what will improve the educational opportunities and outcomes for our students.”
Bombala Public School Principal, Jo Tozer said both schools value input though community consultation and include it in our planning.
“This meeting is aimed at starting a conversation,” Mrs Tozer said.
“You can be reassured that we will be gathering the school community’s thoughts about the future of public education.
“Both Bombala Public School and Bombala High School throughout the year regularly take opportunities to review and revise our current practices to ensure that we maximise learning opportunities and meet the educational needs of every one of our students.”
The meeting will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, August 2 in the Bombala Multi-purpose Hall.
Should it assist family arrangements, parents are welcome to bring your children.
However parents are reminded that Mr Brown will be talking to student representatives at the primary and high schools the next day.
