Although the Heelers defeated the Eden Tigers 38-16, they remained too low on the leaderboard to make it to Group 16 finals.
A spokesperson for the club said it was a great shame they couldn’t make the finals as they really have proved they are a force to be reckoned within the Group 16 competition.
“The Bombala first grade team has beaten three of the top five teams making the finals this year, proving just how far this team has come in just two seasons since reforming.
“It is a credit to a dedicated bunch of lads and their captain coach Joe Bobbin and the club would formally like to recognise and thank Joe and his first grade team for their efforts this season,” the spokesperson said.

The ladies league tag High Heelers are minor premiers after defeating the Eden Tigers 34-0 on Sunday.
The High Heelers will get a well earned break this weekend before going into the major semi-final at Moruya the following week.
The Bombala Reserve Grade team plays second-placed Moruya this Sunday at the Bega Recreation Ground.
The club is encouraging as many supporters as possible to get to Bega on Sunday and cheer the lads on.
