Wonboyn, south of Eden, is a popular spot for anglers, but this sleek girl looked like she’d given the locals a run for their money.
Local Scott Cowdrey, who filmed the seal’s antics with what he admits is a dodgy old phone, said the seal had mucus dripping from its snout, but believes that is usually due to it having a full belly of fish.
“It came up the boat ramp and is laid up, probably digesting a big meal,” he said.
“She was just having a good look around the car park, sunning herself and having a good scratch and a yawn.
“She’s had a swim and now found a good spot in the sun."
Mr Cowdrey said National Parks personnel had been to assess the seal, but said she appears well and enjoying the break.
