AWiA are hosting their National Conference in Canberra, ACT on September 9 – 11. The AWiA board is delighted to offer a further six scholarships to cover full Conference registration available to agricultural students.
AWiA has already awarded six scholarships to women from the dairy and general agricultural industry who have been impacted by the current downturn in operating conditions and have decided to also support students to attend the conference by funding an additional six scholarships dedicated to students studying agriculture and related industry courses.
The conference in Canberra will bring together agricultural women from across Australia who are leading and contributing to the future of Australian agriculture to learn, network and be inspired. The line-up of speakers represent national and local leaders of diverse agricultural industries and include RIRDC Rural Women of the Year, CEO’s, Nuffield scholars, commissioners and politicians.
Donna Digby, AWiA vice president and organiser of last year’s conference in Alice Springs said:
“Delegates from previous AWiA conferences have left feeling inspired and supported by those with more experience to share, it is a great opportunity for young women to establish meaningful and long lasting personal and professional connections including mentors.”
Applications for student scholarships are open and close on Sunday, August 28. Please note conditions apply.
